Experience a blast from the past at our Y2K/90’s Tech Social Party! There will be food, tech activities, and games. 

Family Sunday – 3D Creative Studio | In-Person
January 28, 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM ET, Free
Join us for a Sunday Workshop open house! Explore different activity stations and learn about the world of 3D modeling, code, art, and media. Family members are encouraged to accompany the TKU student.

Parent Talk – Bridge the Gap: Neurodiverse & College Success  with Prof. Lawler | Virtual
January 30, 6-7 PM ET, Free
College access is growing for neurodiverse students, but the path to graduation is often riddled with unseen obstacles. Join Prof. James P. Lawler, an expert in disability support, as he dives into this crucial issue and shares ways to support neurodiverse students in the classroom. Dr. James P. Lawler is a Professor of Disability Studies and Information Systems at the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems of Pace University in New York City.

Sunday Workshop3D Modeling | Virtual
February 11, 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM ET, $10
All Levels: Learn the basics of 3D design using the online tool Tinkercad. No previous experience required. 
Level II: Learn how to design 3D models using the online tool Tinkercad. The Level II section will also learn more about how architects and engineers use 3D modeling tools to visualize their designs.

Midwinter Break Program – Movie Magic Workshop | In-Person & Virtual
February 23, 10:00 – 3:30 PM ET,  $45
Unleash your creativity in our Movie Making Workshop. Learn the essentials of video production, editing, audio design, storytelling, and the magic of special effects with green screen technology.

Parent Talk: Navigating Love and Life | Virtual
February 20, 6-7 PM ET, Free
Empower neurodiverse young adults to build healthy relationships and navigate the complexities of dating and sexuality. This informative presentation by Prof. Emily Hu will aim to demystify the often-confusing world of dating, relationships, and sexuality for young adults, with a specific focus on the needs of neurodiverse individuals and their parents/caregivers. Prof. Emily Hu is a clinical Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone Child Study Center.

Create and animate original characters in this in-person Sunday Workshop. Participants will learn the essentials of character design and get a chance to design and animate their own. Whether you’re an artist or a beginner, this workshop provides a supportive environment for everyone.

All Levels: Learn how to create beats and produce digital music. No previous music experience required. 
Level II: Learn how to create beats, record sound, and produce digital music. The Level II workshop will also share tips for networking and collaborating with other musicians. Some experience with music is helpful.

Level II: Learn how to use code to design video games using free online tools. The Level II section is for those who want to explore more advanced game design tips and learn how to publish and market games. No coding experience required, but prior game design knowledge is helpful.

Tech Social: Summer Bash | In-Person
May 31, 4-6 pm  ET, Free 
Celebrate the end of the school year with a tech social filled with fun tech activities, games, and loads of summer fun.
