Digital Agency: Summer Cohort
The application-only program simulates a real workplace environment, providing participants with the opportunity to showcase their advanced tech skills while working on real projects for clients. Access the Application here. The program runs for 12 sessions, twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM ET
CTC: Video Editing Intensive
This Career Track Course is for students interested in video editing. This series of career-ready workshops provide a foundation for next steps or internships in the field. Topics include file organization, creating rough and final cuts of a video project. Laptops and software are provided. The program is 6 sessions held weekly on Mondays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM ET at TKU’s downtown Brooklyn space. Participants are encouraged to arrive early at 3:30 PM for film screenings, discussions, and activities (optional). Program is open to all.
Summer Weekly Workshops
Discover your creative potential this summer with our Weeklong Workshops! Our dynamic program features a different tech topic each week, from digital art to DIY gadgets. The workshops run from Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm. Participants can choose between registering for full day sessions or for half day sessions. The program is a great way to develop your skills and explore new tech in a fun and engaging environment. Online & In-Person options available.
July 10th- 14th: Coding with JavaScript
Students will learn basic Javascript skills, which are widely-used in web and game design. They’ll create apps, learn web development fundamentals, and use code to create art.
July 17th- 21st: Digital Art Studio
Students will learn about different types of digital art and will get to explore various genres such as AI art and webcomics.
July 24th-28th: Game Design Lab
Students will create their own games, learning about the mechanics, rules, and content that make up a great game.
July 31st-August 4th: DIY Gadget Workshop
*In-Person Only * Students will learn physical computing and creative engineering skills. The workshop will focus on making interactive projects that make sounds and light up. Tech includes wires, batteries, circuits, etc.
